Award-winning exhibition designers appointed for new Museum of Bristol

One of Europe’s leading design groups, Event, has been appointed for the new Museum of Bristol, currently being developed on the site of the former Industrial Museum on Princess Wharf.

The company was chosen for the project because of its fresh and innovative approach, which reflects the ethos of the new museum. It has a wealth of experience in exhibition design, working on high-profile museum projects in the UK and beyond. These include Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery in Glasgow, the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester, ‘Our Dynamic Earth’ in Edinburgh and the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin.

The Museum of Bristol is being funded by Bristol City Council, the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and Renaissance South West, as well as an £11.2 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Work on the development began in January 2008.
